Integrated pest management strategies against insect pests of canola in Eastern Canada

Objectives:

The overall objective is to develop integrated pest management strategies against flea beetle, pollen beetle and cabbage seedpod weevil (CSW) in Eastern Canada.
Specific objectives are to:

• evaluate the influence of seeding date against flea beetles, CSW and pollen beetle.
• evaluate the efficiency of chemical control against flea beetles.
• determine the economic threshold for CSW.
• determine the economic threshold and efficiency of insecticides for pollen beetle.

This research is underway, so the research project’s final report is not available yet.
