Gene-targeted mutagenesis of soybean cytokinin oxidases to promote yield and agronomic/food performance

ECODA project number: Oilseeds East Activity 2

Objectives:

1. Apply the novel technique of targeted mutagenesis in order to increase the accumulation of selected general traits.
2. Generate molecular markers to assist in selection of these mutations in breeding programs.
3. Cross mutant lines with varieties that already exhibit exceptional yield potential.
4. Select best progeny using marker-assisted selection techniques.
